Coyotes Ink Boedker To A New Two Year Contract —  

Last season Mikkel Boedker player in the National Hockey League for the Phoenix Coyotes.  In 48 games Boedker scoring line was: Goals: 7  Assists: 19  Points: 26  PIM: 12 Plus/Minus: even.

Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced on Saturday that the club have re-signed RFA (Restricted Free Agent) left-winger Mikkel Boedker to a two-year contract.   As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“We are pleased to sign Mikkel prior to the beginning of training camp,” said Maloney.   “Mikkel is an important player for us and  having him under contract makes us a better team.  The 23-year-old native of Brondby, Denmark played in a career-high 82 games with the Coyotes in 2011-12, registering 11-13-24 and 12 PIM.

Boedker said “I’m thrilled to sign a new contract with the Coyotes”.  “We have a great team and coaching staff and I’m really looking forward to this season”.  Mikkel Boedker has played in parts of five seasons amassing 256 regular season games, registering 34 goals, 61 assists for a total of 95 points along with 50 PIM and a plus/minus rating of +5.   He has also appeared in 20 Stanley Cup Playoff games, recording 4 goals, 5 assists for 9 points  and two PIM.  Boedker scored the overtime game-winning goals in games three and four of the 2012 Western Conference Quarterfinals against the Chicago Blackhawks.
