Ivan Barbashev is a skilled playmaking center/left winger with good vision and passing ability. Barbashev has a hard shot with a good release.  He has good hockey sense, a very good compete level with some grind and sandpaper in his game.

Ivan Barbashev is a good skater with good speed and agility.  His skating ability allows him to play a fast high-paced game that creates turnovers on the forecheck and scoring chances for him and his linemates.
