Offensive Buzzwords

Josh Ho-Sang is an extremely skilled offensive forward that makes difficult plays look easy at times.  The ability to make plays at top speed is a skill that sets him apart from other top offensive players in this years draft class.  He has a very good hands, reads the play and sees the ice very well.  He is also very dangerous in one on one situations.  Josh Ho-Sang has elite offensive instincts.

Skating

Josh Ho-Sang is an elite level skater.  He has terrific speed with exceptional balance and agility.  What sets him apart from others is the ability to use that skating ability at top speed with the puck on his stick.

Defensive Buzzwords

Josh Ho-Sang’s defensive game is a work in progress.  This part of his game is not comparable with a lot of the other top prospects in the OHL at this stage in his development.

Prospect Analysis

Josh Ho-Sang is a smallish winger by todays standards at 5’11 and is an offensive dynamo but will have to improve his 200 foot game if he wants to jump into the Top 15-20 of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.  I think he projects as a later 1st round selection and could even fall into the second round.  Make no mistake about it, whoever drafts Josh Ho-Sang is getting a very talented player with a big upside.  Ho-Sang is the type of player that could really be an “off the board” selection and it probably wouldn’t surprise anybody.  A dark horse for sure.
