Things about the Arizona Coyotes and the NHL that crossed my mind this past week –
Here are a few thoughts from this past week about the National Hockey League and our Arizona Coyotes.
1. The Arizona Coyotes finished this past week with a 1-1-0 record. Thoughts?
2. The Coyotes stopped their long, painful, home win-less streak at 9 games with an overtime win versus the Oilers on Tuesday night!
3. Arizona Coyotes top prospect, Max Domi, should be an integral part of the Team Canada line-up at the 2014/15 WJHC during the next couple of weeks.
4. With 50 games left in the 2014/15 season, the Coyotes are going to have to play out of their minds to make the post-season … at this point I’d rather have one of the first two picks in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft (McDavid or Eichel).
5. As of Monday morning, the Arizona Coyotes have 25 home and 25 road games left this season (see #4).
6. With the top 2 players in this years NHL Entry Draft (McDavid and Eichel) being considered “generational” or “franchise changing” prospects, am I a bad fan if I kind of hope the Yotes keep losing? (losing with a purpose)
7. OEL scored the OT winner versus the Oilers with 3 tenths of a second left in the extra period. 3 TENTHS! … that is crazy!
8. Devan Dubnyk has started the last 3 games for the Yotes.
9. IMHO, Keith Yandle hasn’t had the impact offensively as he usually does and if he doesn’t isn’t he a liability? Am I right or do I expect too much?
10. I would like to wish all of our readers at Arizona Hockey Talk a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
LET’S GO YOTES
