Things about the Arizona Coyotes and the NHL that crossed my mind this past week –
Here are a few thoughts from this past week about the NHL and our Arizona Coyotes.
1. The Arizona Coyotes finished this past week with a 1-3-0 record. Thoughts?
2. I really miss the Phoenix Coyotes and Jobing.com Arena … I wonder where they went?
3. Lately, the Coyotes seem to be auditioning different players from their AHL affiliate in Portland on a nightly basis.
4. The Coyotes are going through a dangerous stretch right now where they can’t score and they can’t keep the puck out of their net. They are very close to being into “next year” country if they aren’t already!
5. Who are these Arizona Coyotes and what have they done with the Phoenix Coyotes? (See #2)
6. It looks like Mike Ribeiro has found his way in Nashville. He’s giving the Preds what the Yotes paid for. It just doesn’t seem right.
7. On the upside, the Arizona Coyotes are killing it in the face-off circle. Ranked #4 in the NHL.
8. I wonder if its time to start tanking for Connor McDavid or Jack Eichel?
9. The Yotes have traded Rob Klinkhammer and a conditional 5th round draft pick to the Pittsburgh Penguins for their 2011 second round pick, Philip Samuelsson. Philip is the brother of Coyotes draft pick Henrik and the son of former Assistant Coach Ulf Samuelsson.
10. BTW, tanking is such an ugly word.
LET’S GO YOTES
