Random Thoughts On The Arizona Coyotes: Oct. 20

Things about the Arizona Coyotes and the NHL  that crossed my mind this past week –

Some of the things that rattled through my head about the NHL and our Arizona Coyotes this past week.

1.  The Arizona Coyotes finished their 4 game home-stand with a scary 2-2 record.  Thoughts?

2.  Congrats to Mikkel Boedker on his FIRST NHL hat-trick vs the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday night.

3.  The St. Louis Blues came to town Saturday night and showed why they are considered one of the top contenders in the Western Conference in 2014-15.

4.  Last week I said … “I think the Coyotes defensive corp, as it is currently constructed is going to really struggle in physical games.”  This past week it was confirmed.

5.   It looks like its going to be a LONG season for Mike Smith and Devan Dubnyk playing behind this defence corp!

Boedker

Boedker had his first NHL hat-trick vs the Oilers!

6.  Should Arizona Coyotes fans be concerned that Mike Smith was the best Coyote on the ice in a 6-1 humbling by the St. Louis Blues?  (see #3)

7.  I’m sorry but Chris Summers is in over his head at the NHL level!

8.  I’m sure, in fact I’m positive, that the Coyotes can’t have Murphy and Summers as a defence pairing!

9.  These “puck handling, possession defencemen” that can’t win a puck battle don’t seem to be working.  Now what?

10.  The Coyotes are off on a quick 2 games road trip to Nashville and Minnesota.  These 2 road games are going to be a REAL test.

LET’S GO YOTES

Some of these questions are serious, some are just tongue in cheek and some are me just being a _________.  (you fill in the blank)

If you have any thoughts on any of these questions please let me know.  I am a curious person by nature and I need answers. Thanks, Mitch  Use the “Comment Section” below.
