Things about the Arizona Coyotes and the NHL that crossed my mind this past week –
Instead of being serious all the time and writing a commentary or an opinion piece we will jot down some random musings once a week. It might be a mix of serious, playful or maybe even a little sarcastic but it should be fun. If you have answers please let us know.
1. I have a funny feeling the Arizona Coyotes are going to surprise a lot of people in the Western Conference in 2014-15.
2. Do Coyotes fans realize what a stud Oliver Ekman-Larsson is? The NHL’s best kept secret!
3. I really like the goaltending tandem of Mike Smith and Devin Dubnyk going into this season.
4. For those of you that think Max Domi at 5’8 – 5’10 (depends who you believe) is too small to play in the NHL, think again. He plays like he’s 6’2!
5. I wonder what Derek Morris is up to? I’m not convinced he couldn’t help the Yotes this season!
6. Have I mentioned lately how much I hate the “loser point”?
7. If you haven’t already done so, go to our Facebook page at Arizona Hockey Talk and give us a “LIKE” …. thanks
8. It’s less than 2 weeks for the ACHA Division 1 Champion ASU Sun Devils season opener.
9. Won’t it be nice to have a normal NHL schedule after 2 years of compressed schedules due to the lockout in 2012-13 and the Olympics in 2013-14.
10. I’m expecting Sam Gagner to be a very pleasant surprise! Any thoughts Yotes fans?
Some of these questions are serious, some are just tongue in cheek and some are me just being a _________. (you fill in the blank)
If you have any thoughts on any of these questions please let me know. I am a curious person by nature and I need answers. Thanks, Mitch Use the “Comment Section” below.
