Things about the Arizona Coyotes and the NHL  that crossed my mind this past week –

Some random facts and a few thoughts from this past week about the National Hockey League and our Arizona Coyotes.

1.  The Arizona Coyotes had a 0-4-0 record this week … 0 points!     

2.  Trade #1 …. Antoine Vermette to Chicago for Klas Dahlbeck and a 1st round pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. 

3.  The Arizona Coyotes start a stretch of 9 home games in their next 10 starts, starting Tuesday night vs Anaheim.

4.  Trade #2 …. Keith Yandle, Chris Summers and a 2015 4th round draft pick for John Moore, Anthony Duclair and a 1st round choice in 2016 as well as a 2nd round choice in 2015. 

5.  Trade #3 … Zbynek Michalek and a conditional 3rd round pick in 2015 for prospect Maxim Letunov. 

6.  The Arizona Coyotes are 1 point out of 2nd last position in the “Connor McDavid/Jack Eichel Sweepstakes” also known as the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.

7.  The Arizona Coyotes claimed 2 players off the waiver wire Monday as well, Tye McGinn, 24, from the San Jose Sharks and Craig Cunningham, 24, from the Boston Bruins.

8.  Newly acquired Anthony Duclair and Coyotes prospect Max Domi formed 2/3 of Canada’s top line in the 2015 WJHC.  Their play was a major reason Canada won the Gold Medal!  

9.  G.M. Don Maloney may not be finished yet … there could still be more moves made at the NHL Draft this summer.    

10.  The NHL Trade Deadline has come and gone …. are you happy with the moves the Coyotes made?     

11.  There is no doubt that the 2015-16 Arizona Coyotes are going to be a very different looking team.

12.  PP update:  No change … The Arizona Coyotes PP is ranked #5 at 21.6%.

13.  PK update:  No change …The Arizona Coyotes PK is ranked #27 at 77.4%.
